Deena M. Cornell

Deena Mae Cornell, age 66 of South Charleston, passed away on December 3, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on April 22, 1956 in Sandusky, Ohio to Ren Hamilton and Marilyn Coffey. Deena is survived by her loving husband, Steve Cornell, children; Craig Cornell, Christina Cornell, and Joshua Crum, grandchildren; Stephanie (Caleb) Horner, Justin Cornell, and Victoria Cornell, great-grandchildren; Jeffery Horner and Madelynn Horner, siblings, Vicky (Edward) Rasinske, Greg Hamilton, and Allen (Debra) Lowe, sister-in-law, Regina (Larry) Timmons, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Deena is preceded in death by her father, Ren Hamilton, and siblings, Linda Lonsway and Jeffery Hamilton.

Deena worked for the Clark County MRDD Board for many years. She was a movie buff and loved to do crafts, cook, and bake. Deena was always worried about others and put anyone else before herself. She was a great caretaker, being a naturally loving and nurturing woman. Deena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
