Debra Lynn Aldridge

April 12, 1960 — January 14, 2022

Debra Lynn Aldridge, 61, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was born on April 12, 1960, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry, Sr. and Marica Carter. Debra is survived by her beloved children, Larry Aldridge and Shameka Aldridge; her grandson, Marcelle Aldridge; siblings, Vicki Carter, Henry, Jr. (Yolanda) Carter, Phyllis (Herbert) Doswell, Marica (Johnny) Cannon, Juliette Dugger, Fredrick Carter, Onnie (Jeani) Cooper, Priscilla Carter (Odell) and Emma Carter; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Shama Carter. Debra was a proud veteran in the United States Army. She graduated from Ashford University with her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s of Education. She worked as a clerk for the United States Post Office for many years most recently while she lived in Alabama. She loved her Lord and was very spiritual, and gained many friends while she attended church in Decatur, Alabama. She enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw puzzles, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Private burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center.
