Deborah Ruth Painter

PAINTER, Deborah Ruth age 72 of Springfield passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  Debbie was born on August 22, 1950, the daughter of the late Raymond Elias and Leona (Aufderhaar) Painter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong best friend, Penny Caldwell.  Debbie is survived by her pride and joy, daughter, Chanda Painter; bonus daughter, Jessica Long; bonus grandson, Jehmar Long; siblings: Margaret Kohler and Joe (Randi) Painter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews including, Francine Kohler-Szachta. Debbie surrounded herself with her beloved friends: Karen Pence, Missy Waterson, Tracy Lethcoe along with countless others. She made a name for herself when it came to shooting pool.  Alongside her team they won two state championships and traveled to compete in Las Vegas.  Debbie will be sorely missed by those who knew her.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Her funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by her entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
