David Bowen, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on July 16, 1965, in Ft Payne, Alabama, and a resident of Champaign County, Ohio, David was known for his love of family, football, music, and good-natured banter.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle, with whom he shared a life filled with love and happiness. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Rachelle (Lloyd) Barnett and Brandon (Tessie) Bowen. He was a proud grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren; Reigan, Ella and Colton. He is also survived by his mother, Linda (David) Waters, brother, Rodney (Karen) Bowen, sisters, Donna Bennett, and Michelle Spell. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Bowen and sister, Vickie Bowen. 

David's true passion was his family. He found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. David had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed engaging in lively banter with friends and family.

David's strength, both in mind and body, was unparalleled, demonstrating willpower and perseverance like no other. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, June 29th at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center - 2425 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503 from 1-3PM. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories of a remarkable man who touched so many lives.

David will be dearly missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire and guide his family for generations to come.
