Darrell Paul Craycraft, 64, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 19, 2021. He was born on August 29, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Paul and Gloria (Capper) Craycraft. Darrell is survived by his mother, Gloria Craycraft; wife of 39 years, Darla (Wilson) Craycraft; sons, Jeremy Craycraft (Kerissa) and Jacob Craycraft (Cassandra); grandchildren, Landon, Romeo, Adaline, Karson and Emalyn; siblings, Bryan Craycraft, Teresa Craycraft (Paul Ciccarello), Mark Craycraft and Gail (Floyd) Amburgey; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Paul Craycraft; and brothers, Steven and Ronald Craycraft. Darrell worked for Stevenson’s Service Experts as a HVAC installer for 44 years where he was well respected and trained many of his fellow coworkers. He loved fishing, playing pool and poker but above all else, he valued the time he spent with family. He was the funniest and nicest person you would ever meet and those who knew him would agree he was also the strongest person they’ve ever encountered. Friends and family will forever be asking “Is it tight or is it Darrell tight?” His bright smile and witty humor will endlessly be cherished by all those who were blessed to know him. Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 11a.m.-1p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 1p.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
