WILT, Darlene K. age 74 of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born on August 12, 1949 in Springfield to the late Harold and Mary (King) Retherford. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, James Wilt and her brothers, Harold Retherford and James Retherford. Darlene leaves behind her daughters, Sheri (Kurt) Tyson and Kristina (Chad) Norton; grandchildren: Caleb (Amber) Norton, Colyn (Hope) Norton, Kaylee (Daniel) Stone, Cari (Drew) Fecke, Kenzie (Matt) Henson Jr., Kolton (Courtney Monnin) Tyson and Kyanne Tyson and great-grandchildren: Jack Fecke and Maverick Henson. Darlene is also survived by her loving sister, Carrie Perkins and Ben; many loving nieces and nephews; her best friend of 60 years, Rita Riley as well as residents and workers at The Ridge formally known as The Preserve of Beavercreek. Darlene was a beautiful with woman with a huge heart. She loved watching football, nascar and the young and the restless with her hubby. She loved playing Bingo and had a passion for jewelry. Darlene loved all the dogs she had through the years but the true light of her life were her grandchildren and the special bonds she had with them. Darlene will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with her service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain John Sullivan officiating. Darlene will be laid to rest next to her husband in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family would like to acknowledge the compassion and care that Day City Hospice showed Darlene.
