Daniel K Stump, “Danny”, 61, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 31, 2023, in his home. He was “born on his birthday” March 27th, 1962, in Sidney, Ohio. The son of the late Barbara McDonald and Kenneth Stump. He had four sisters, Debbie Fuller, Cheryl Wooten, Yvonne Franzese, Rhonda Churchwood. He is preceded in death by hisbrother, David in 2020; nieces and nephews, Tom, Aubrey, Sean, Kay, Jody, David, Daniel, Tori, Greg, Colton, Tova, Cale, Emily, and Tommy. He was a loving father and husband. He wasadmired by many for his kind-hearted and selfless nature. He attended Boone Station and Greenon High. He served in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm/ Desert Shield, then later retired from the Collier County Sheriffs Dept in SW Florida. He later moved his family to Alamogordo, New Mexico, where he was employed as the director of the detention center. Finally, moving back home to Springfield, Ohio. His passion was unmatched for cars from the vast collection of die-cast cars on the walls of his home, to the small collection in the driveway. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending quality time with them, while drinking copious cups of coffee. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cindy, and his two children, Morgan (Kris Anderson) and Maggie, his two grandchildren, Dallas, and Dannie, who he loved beyond words. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
