Dale Edward Overholser

DALE EDWARD OVERHOLSER, (89), of Springfield Ohio, left us on September, 21, 2024. He was born on January 17, 1935, son of the late Paul and Helen (Linkhart) Overholser and Ruth Overholser. Dale graduated from Northwestern High School where he was an accomplished athlete. At Wittenburg University he was president of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Following his college graduation, Dale served in the Air Force International Guard of Ohio. A well-known and beloved member of the Clark County community, he was owner and operator of The Floor Store in Springfield for many years. Upon retirement he enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and hunting. Dale was an Elder and devoted member of the Lawrenceville Church of God congregation. He grew up with loving siblings Johnny Overholser (deceased), Joyce Newnam and Mary Lou Culver. He was preceded in death less than a year ago by his eternal love, Barbara Sue (Zimmerman) Overholser and is survived by their 3 children: Jay Paul Overholser, Jayne Marie (Scott) Webb, Eric Edward (Rachel) Overholser. Dale was a loving Opa to his grandchildren Maddie, Luke, Landon, Olivia and Savannah. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by so many.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Lawrenceville Church of God. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Alan Cain. Burial to follow at Lawrenceville Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lawrenceville Church of God in Dale’s honor. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center.
