Dale Evans Stewart On Thursday, July 4, 2019, Dale E. Stewart, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 64. Dale passed suddenly of an unknown cause after completing a 30-mile bicycle tour with one of his 4 or so cycling clubs, “Major Taylor Cycling Club of Dayton”. 5 Members of this club were with Dale prior to and witnessed his collapse in Montgomery County. Dale is the son of Frank and Ann Stewart Jr. He is also one of many grandchildren of Frank E. & Mary Stickney Stewart, and John L. & Helen Evans Rosensteel. Dale graduated from Shawnee High School in 1973 and Ohio Institute of Technology in 1975. Dale completed his pilot’s license in the summer of 1974. Dale’s passing occurred in the initial year that the family farm became eligible for the Coveted Century Farm Designation. Dale’s love of agriculture followed the tradition established by his father (1924 – 1998) and paternal grandfather (1883 – 1974). Dale earned coveted state wide production awards in corn. Dale is survived by his beloved son, Travis Anthony Stewart. Dale is preceded in death by his life companion, Clare DeSantis Stewart, to breast cancer in 2012. Dale was inspired by his wife Clara to teach Sunday School at Maiden Home Church. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 10th, 2019 at Ingling Williams & Lewis in South Charleston, Ohio at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Lymphoma, Maiden Lane Church or the charity of choice.
