Christopher Michel Dodson

Christopher Michel Dodson, affectionately known as Chris, was born on February 4, 1986, in Zanesville, Ohio. He passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2025, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family.

Chris earned a Bachelor's Degree and was known for his unwavering determination, often described as stubborn yet deeply caring for those he loved. His personality shone brightly through his interests and hobbies, which included a profound appreciation for cars and geology. He loved to explore the great outdoors, with hiking being one of his most cherished pastimes, where he found solace and joy in nature's beauty.

Chris is survived by his husband, Joe (Boettcher) Dodson; his mother, Marianne Michel; his sister, Katie (Greg) Bell; his nephew, Nicholas Bell; as well as his mother-in-law, Judy Ford; sister-in-law, Ember (Steven) Kozlowski; brother-in-law, Rickey (Casey Darding) Ford; and a large extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He's also survived by his fur babies, cats Love Bug and Remy. Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Marjorie Michel.

A Memorial Gathering to honor Chris will be held on February 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Both events will take place at Jackson Lytle And Lewis Funeral Home, located at 322 Xenia Ave, Yellow Springs, Ohio, 45387.

Chris Dodson will be deeply missed, but his spirit will always be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to help the flood victims in Asheville, North Carolina or to the donor's favorite charity in Chris' name.
