Charlotte Ann Collins Stormont was born at home to Andrew Roger and Clara Marie (Kershner) Collins on August 1, 1928 in rural Greene County. She died November 22, 2020. She graduated from Cedarville High School in 1946; earned her teaching certificate from Cedarville College in 1949 and her bachelor’s degree in education from Central State University in 1961. She married Harold Greer Stormont on August 12, 1949. He died in 2002. She loved children, especially babies. She taught school one year in the Yellow Springs; then had four children of her own. She returned to teaching in 1957 and taught at the Cedarville elementary school for 31 years. Charlotte was a member of the Cedarville United Presbyterian church where she taught in children ministries for many years. She was also a member of the Kensington/Research Club. She is survived by her four children Cheryl (Norman) Brown of Aledo, IL, Carol (Eddie) Ropp, Hal (Sue) Stormont, and Mike (Patty) Stormont, all of Cedarville. She has 13 grandchildren, Andy (Lesa) Brown, Laura (Aaron) Lindberg, Jenny (Rob) Ilderton, Emily (Andy) Schneider; Christie (Brian) Hall, Robbie (Ann) Vaughn; Becky (Brandon) Dow, David (Audrey) Stormont, Joshua Stormont, Kathy (Barry) Adams, Dylan (Libbey Gray) Stormont and 2 step grandchildren, Sam Ropp, and Molly (Ryan) Scwarb and 27 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn (Tom) Cochran of Tucson, AZ and brother, Roger (Sue) Collins of Xenia. Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 12:00-1:30PM at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home in Yellow Springs with a service to follow at 1:30PM. The service will be live-streamed on the Jackson Lytle & Lewis Facebook page, starting promptly at 1:30PM. Charlotte will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, Harold, at Massie Creek Cemetery.
