Charles W. Finch

FINCH, Charles W. "Chuck" age 86 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born the son of the late Robert F. and Esther (Smith) Finch in Springfield, Ohio on March 14, 1937.  In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his sisters: Esther Chaffin Marriott, Jennie Finch Schneider, and Carol Ann Finch Johnson; brother, Robert Finch Jr.; two nephews: Tom Chaffin and David Schneider; as well as his faithful feline, Buddy. Chuck leaves behind his sisters: Doris Finch Osborn and Susan Finch; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a father figure and uncle to Daniel (Kait) Finch and had an incredible bond with his great-nephew, Robert Finch. He also enjoyed his friend Brian, who provided Meals on Wheels. Chuck was a selfless son that served as his parents' compassionate caregiver up until their passing.  Chuck was a Drafting Engineer for R & M Materials Handling, Inc. and then later worked at Delta Crane. He was a huge sports fan that often had an answer on sports trivia faster than google.  While Chuck preferred to spend time at home, his family loved him very much and his passing will leave a huge hole in the family tree.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating.  Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
