In addition to her parents, Carol was reunited in Heaven with her beautiful daughter, Angie King; her beloved granddaughter, Taylor Haffner; and brothers, Daniel and Douglas Shaw.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Haffner; son, Robert Haffner, Jr.; grandchildren, Robert Haffner III, Alayna Haffner, Ciara King, L.J. King, Jaylin Haffner, Hailey Watts, Brooklyn Haffner and Addyson Watts; sisters, Debra Loso, Judy Rodgers and Julie (Brett) Brickles; the father of her children, Robert Haffner, Sr.; her best friend for many years, Jill Dutton; her four legged daughter, Kassi; and many more extended family members and friends.
Carol worked for several years at Bradfield’s Restaurant as a waitress at the Upper Valley Mall and was also a cosmetologist for a length of time. Throughout her careers, she made many lasting friendships and deeply cared for all she met. She loved with her whole heart and made sure those around her always felt important. Carol was extremely artistic, and her creativeness and craft skills were among the best. She loved painting and many knew her from her painting of rocks and creating fairy gardens that were moved from house to house for countless people to enjoy. If you gave her a rock, no matter the size, she would create a beautiful masterpiece that her family and friends have held on to as keepsakes throughout the years. Many of her artistic ideas reflected the natural beauty of nature and the beautiful outdoors. Carol could envision a beautiful backyard in her head and would turn her vision into a gorgeous botanical garden. Her ability to grow flowers and create a garden were next to none. If you knew Carol, you would know that one of her favorite activities was to go mushroom hunting. She had her favorite spots and she welcomed anyone to come along on her hunting journey’s. For her family and friends, life will forever be a little dimmer without Carol, but the memories and keepsakes that she passed along will always be the shining light that keeps a smile on their faces.
