Springfield

Butch Reed left this world to join the next September 20, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories. He was born in Springfield September 14, 1956 to Burl and Hazel Reed. He was the youngest of three children. He graduated high school in 1974 from Northeastern. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Joseph) Mason, loyal companion, Mudd and two bonus children, Jason (Mandy) Elrod and Regina (Ryan) Perkins. He was a proud grandfather and great grandfather.

Butch worked for Springfield Sand and gravel for over 20 years before he bought the family business, Buckeye sanitary service. He worked hard and played harder and made some wonderful friends along the way. he enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, trail riding in his Can-Am as well as , hitting every concert he could with his daughter. He loved Miller light, the Bengals and Cincinnati Reds. Butch will be remembered for his sense of humor and love for life and of course his famous bloody Marys. He never met a stranger and would always lend a hand or pull a prank every chance he could. Special thanks to his lifelong friends, Bill Newell and Kathy Baker Donavan for the love and friendship over the last 60+ years until the very end. Thank you to Tammy Hess for holding Kim together with her love and support. Thank you to everyone that stopped by to share memories and say goodbye. He fought hard to beat cancer with his mind body and soul.
