New Carlisle

Barbara G. Anderson, born on July 10, 1950, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family May 18, 2024. She was born on July 10, 1950, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Ralph T. and Mary J. Larson.

Barb was a dedicated librarian for over 30 years and managed the Park Branch with excellence for the last 15 years of her career before retiring in 2014. Her colleagues at the library remember her as a caring and exceptional boss who always put others first.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Barb will be remembered for her kind and selfless nature. She adored her family and friends and had a special talent for making everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her brother described her as the "richest pauper" he had ever known, highlighting her wealth of love and generosity.

In her leisure time, Barb found joy in playing card games with her family and sharing laughter while playing games on her phone with friends. She loved collecting various pig memorabilia and every gift that was given to her brought a smile to her face. Barb loved being a part of her husband Rich's band, where they shared their passion for music together. As an excellent cook and skilled crocheter, she found delight in preparing dishes for loved ones and crafting special gifts for them. Always supporting her sons, Barb became a Michigan fan later in life for "her boys." She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Rich Anderson; sons, Marco Williams (Tammy Inman) and Adrian Williams; grandchildren, DeAnna Moon, Courtney Lawless, Logan Williams, Dustin Martin and Elijah Whaley; great-grandchildren, Kahles, Jaxson, Keadyn, Derik, Ashton, Reagan; brothers, Roger (Marlene) Larson and Ken (Sally) Larson; step-son, Devan (Julie) Stringer; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as cherished friends, Marcia Dietz and Cindy (Lee) Williams among others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Renee Donohoe; and best friend, Karen "KK" Keller.
