Anthony Scott Byerman, known to most as Tony, passed away on July 14, 2024, in his hometown of Springfield, Ohio. He was born on October 13, 1965, to Thomas Byerman and Lavina (Gallagher) Church.
Tony was a graduate of Kenton Ridge High School and was one who brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He had a fun out going nature, never one to engage in arguments but always ready for a good debate or a laugh with friends and family.
Among Tony's many passions were fishing and golfing with his grandchildren and friends. He loved playing lottery and scratch-offs, always hoping for that big win. Cards and games were another favorite pastime of Tony's; he enjoyed spending time engaging in friendly competition with loved ones. His love for animals was evident in his compassionate nature towards them.
One of Tony's greatest sources of pride was his daughter Ashley and his grandchildren. He followed them closely in their athletic pursuits, finding immense joy in their successes on the field. His dedication to his family knew no bounds, always willing to go above and beyond for those he loved.
Unfortunately, Tony battled kidney issues for two decades before ultimately succumbing to a massive brain bleed. Despite his health struggles, he faced each day with courage and a positive spirit.
Tony is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Dylan Greer; grandsons, Dylan, Austin, and Luka; previous wife, Nikki Vertrees, brothers, Bob (Nikole), Jeff (Andrea), Phillip; Aunt Sandy; nieces, Brittany and Lindsay Byerman; as well as numerous other extended family members and special friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Byerman, mother, Lavina Church and brother, TJ Byerman.
