Albert "Benny" Campbell

CAMPBELL, Albert "Benny" age 86 of Cedarville, was surrounded by his family when he left this earth and walked straight into the arms of Jesus in Heaven on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born on April 1, 1936 in Fosters, Ohio to the late Ralph and Armetha (Hoff) Campbell. In addition to his parents, Benny is preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn and Kent Campbell and a sister, Wanda Hill. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 66 years, Barbara (Price) Campbell; daughters: Deborah (Bruce) Dillion, Denise (Timothy) Montgomery, and Diane "Dee" Campbell; grandchildren: Joshua (Susan) Dillion, Jesse Dillion, James Dillion, Joseph (Heather) Dillion, Tracy (Levi) Miller, Anthony Montgomery, James (Stephanie) Montgomery, Jeremy (Stephanie) Montgomery, Brett Campbell, Ashley (Brandon LeVeck) Ringer, Robert "Robbie" (Karrissa) Ringer; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Benny also is survived by his siblings: James (Marlene) Campbell, Wallace (Norma) Campbell, Ella Kay (Thomas) Gallagher, Keith (Susan) Campbell, and Richard "Petie" (Kimberly) Campbell; sisters-in-law Carole Campbell and Charlene Campbell; brothers-in-law Ronald Hill and Wilbur (Nancy) Price as well as many dear friends. Benny retired after 37 dedicated years from UPS and then continued to serve his community working at Cedarville Township for another 10 years. He was a long time Deacon and Chairman of the Board at Grape Grove United Church of Christ where he and his wife are members. Benny was also involved in the Cedarville Mason Lodge #622. You could always count on him to be ready to go to a good auction or sale; he loved model trains and was a great fisherman. Benny was loved by so many and will be deeply missed. A funeral to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at GRAPE GROVE CHURCH OF CHRIST beginning at 1:00 p.m. following the service the family will receive family and friends until 4:00 p.m. also at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly prefers memorial contributions be made to Grape Grove Church of Christ or Cedarville Fire Department in Benny's honor.
